Just been riding my '83 back and forth to work. It was 44 degrees the other morning. Hoping to get some higher mileage rides in soon.

My first bike was a 1982 or 83 GPZ550. It was a great starter bike: easy to ride, good power, sharp looking, comfortable. That was 10 years ago, and I now ride a GSX-R1000 but will always have fond memories of that red Kawasaki.

Thanks for the website. Sorry to see your guestbook is littered with spam, so I thought I'd post something real.

I currently own a 1981 GPZ-550 with 12K
original miles. This bike is MINT! And totally stock. I was considering selling it but with a web site dedicated to just this bike I am now reconsidering that.

I have yet to pick her up, but I will soon be the proud owner of a 1985 KZ550gpz. I have had the bike in layaway since late May. I found this web-site while researching the bike, and it really helped make up my mind to purchase a GPZ. The Bike is in mint condition, with a full lower fairing, and scoop. Can't wait to ride her. Great web-site, I'll send pics.

I have had my 1986 Gpz550 since 1992.I bought it as my first bike and figured I would ride it until I had saved enough money to buy a newer larger bike.Well,it's been 13years and it's still in great shape!Everything on it except for the exhaust(Mac 4 into 1)is original. It's black in color with the red/yellow/orange stripes across it.I am in the midst of trying to sell it but have had no luck so far which in away is great for me because I still get to ride the bike in the mean time:).I will try to get a picture to the site asap.Nice to know there are lot's of enthusiasts for the Gpz.
